Todo libro es un artefacto, pero algunos ejemplares son más conscientes de sus mecanismos y estructuras, es decir, de la relación que establecen entre el contenedor y su contenido. Estos libros “raros” se comportan como disonancias cognitivas: nos obligan a leer de formas alternativas y nos proponen cuestionar nuestros saberes. En este curso expositivo esbozaremos algunas genealogías y herramientas que nos permitan descifrar y desdoblar estos dispositivos para encontrar otras maneras de contar historias. Exploraremos: 1. El libro en los límites del texto; 2. El libro en los límites de la imagen; 3. El libro caligrama y 4. El libro programado.
All books are artifacts, but some copies are more conscious of their processes and structures, that is to say of the relationship they establish between the container and the content. These “rare” books behave like cognitive dissonances: they force us to read in alternative ways and to question our knowledge. This expository course will outline some of the genealogies and tools that allow us to decode and unfold these mechanisms to discover other ways of telling stories. The course will explore: 1. The book within the limits of the text; 2. The book within the limits of the image; 3. The calligram book, and 4. The programmed book.
